Unfortunately it is not possible to change your subscription within the Mapt app. To make changes to your subscription, visit My Account.
It is not currently possible to download PDFs or code files within the Mapt app. This feature is available on the Mapt website.
Videos can be downloaded to view offline in the Mapt app. You can download individual sections of videos to allow you to learn on the go.

Yes – eBooks can be downloaded to your iPhone, iPad or Android device to view offline. You can download entire eBooks to your phone to view in the Mapt app.
The Mapt app is exclusively available to all subscribers, regardless of whether you are on the Monthly or Annual plans. If you have purchased a book from Packt, you can also access it through the Mapt app. You can use the app during your 14 day free trial. To start a free trial, click here.
If you cancel your subscription you lose your unlimited access to Mapt’s library. You will still be able to access your account, keep and use any tokens you have already earned, and read or download any owned books you have purchased.
All Tokens you earn during your subscription, and any eBooks or Videos you have purchased, will stay in your account if you leave.
Annual subscriptions automatically renew if you have card details present. If you don’t have card details or need to update them then you can do so easily by going to My Account
You will receive a Course token when you spend more than 8 hours learning in a month and complete 50 sections. Time is only logged in the ‘Monthly Progress Tracker’ when you click ‘Next Section’ while reading or watching a title. Unlockable tokens are only available to Pro subscribers and are unlocked in addition to the free monthly tokens provided with Pro Monthly, Annual and 18 month subscriptions.
Bookmarks are for sections in specific books that you want to go back to. Code samples, great explanations of a topic, a tricky section that you want to read again.
The “Saved” list is to create your own personal reading list so you can line up your next eBook or Video at your leisure.

Skill Plans are curated by our editors to reflect the skills that we see as important to the development, right now. This process is based on a mix of data and insight. Each Skill Plan is the result of industry research, real-world job specifications, surveys of our 500,000 developers, and editorial insight.

With content from industry leading authors, our content is trusted and practical, giving you exactly what you need to get the job done. As well as this, subscribers receive a FREE monthly Course Token that they can redeem for any Course in the library, enabling them to download and keep a Course forever. They will also be able to unlock further Tokens by using the Monthly Progress Tracker.
Once you have selected a Skill Plan, you are free to browse the other Skill Plans we have available by accessing ‘Skill Plans’ in the main navigation. We know as well as you do that the developer market is always changing and that most skills have multiple applications. As a result, if you’ve already completed certain Skills you may find that you inadvertantly increase your competancy in a different role. The skills you’ve completed are saved, so you don’t need to worry about losing any progress.
A Skill Card is a unit of focused content which represents a specific real world skill, and contains a curated selection of learning materials designed to deliver the best possible route towards acquiring a new skill. Skill Cards help you put our skills in context, and combined with Skill Plans give you a clear visual roadmap on how to continue progressing for professional development, or simply to grow your individual skills. Completing a Skill Card contributes towards your overall progression which you can view via the dashboard progress tracker, allowing you to see exactly where your skills are, and where to go next.
Skill Plans are made up of Skill Cards that have been curated based on real-world data from over 20,000 surveyed developers and extensive research. Chances are that you’re already a professional developer and know the basics, but Skill Plans show you the most important things you need to know in your field to keep up with the market and stay ahead of the competiton, providing the best possible resources to get you up to speed fast.
To claim your free eBook or Video, sign in to Mapt and browse for the eBook or video you want to redeem. Once you’ve identified the title you would like to claim, click the ‘Buy’ button and select ‘Claim with Token’ from the drop menu. Please note: If you have no Tokens to redeem then you will not see this option.
